I've been bugging Joe about this for months and he's FINALLY gotten around to gracing us with some new episodes of IPR. If you're not familiar with IPR, it's a perfect send up of NPR, and it's really funny.

This is HIGH-sterical!

A neat little text-to-speech applet that converts any text into a sound file pieced together using clips from pop and rock songs. There's a pretty eclectic mix of source material in there, try to work out what song each word comes from...

This is of course nothing like AT&T's vocal synthesis.
What's even funnier, is I'm SURE that no one has authorized usage of individual sound samples for this type of application. Let's see how long this site stays up...

Trolling Digg, I stumbled upon a really quick and easy way to find all of The Onion's news bite podcasts. I'm really surprised that they aren't "Dugg" more.

BUY DIZ WHITE'S BOOK!

Following up on a previous post

Diz White was kind enough to send me a copy and it's a great read. I will be writing up a full review as soon as I'm done with it (SLOWEST READER EVER), but being about two thirds through I have to say it's chock full of excellent info.

MenSTEALia still getting pissy, now with Ari edition

Man, I've said it before, but where's the RIAA when you need them...

So, not much to say on this one. Carlos Mencia calls into San Diego radio show, tries to play magnanimous, they take a call from Ari (in the Joe Rogan video), Carlos gets pissy (while trying to offer his sage-like advice to Ari over "just being funny"), Carlos' people have the radio station pull the call, and interview over.

Take a listen.

I don't know, but where there's smoke there's usually a fire, so just interrupting the call just makes Carlos look guilty.

Also I think it's funny that they played a clip of old Ned talking about being Mexican, and that there are "different kinds of Mexicans"...

...

Which is funny ...

...

Cuz he's Honduran ...
