SO, if you've been reading any of my blog (and why would you be), you probably know I usually walk to work. I live a half mile from where I work, burning the gas to get me there just seems like a waste (and the Saab is a POS, but thats another post...heheh "Saab story"), and some days that mile walk just might be the only exercise my tubby ass gets. This morning I was nearly smeared at almost every crosswalk, and quite a few garage driveways, I walked through. Some really close calls too, making me kinda twitchy and what not. The only intersection I didn't almost die at was on Doheny. A woman refused to turn left as I was walking through, even though the two cars behind her were leaning on their horns. So, 'Woman in White Jetta' whoever you are, Thank you for being a decent and respectable person! Oh, and the pic above is "Ominous", if you were wondering...which you prolly weren't...I just thought it would tie in nice with the title of the post...yep...

Could it Maybe Be You?
I can't really say why, but lately I've come into a rash of friends and clients breaking their gadgets. From phones, to Palms, and ipods too, I invariably hear the same thing "It broke on me". Yet I see the same use out of almost all of them. Devices never in cases, shoved into pockets and purses, banged around, but it's the gadgets fault when wear and tear catches up to them. While kit gets slimmer and "sexier" is it really an insurmountable chore to use a screen guard or case for a $200-$600 gadget. Laptops start at $600, and you almost never see someone walking around with one bare (and when I do, I secretly want to see them trip).

Is it Wrong to Happy About This?
Of COURSE IT ISN'T!!! Led by CAA agent Hylda Queally, who also handles clients like Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet, Ms. Holmes's representatives are working to end that hiatus. But they're trying to pick their spots. Earlier this month, Ms. Holmes rebuffed the "Dark Knight" offer, say people involved with the project. The studio is searching for a new actress who can replace Ms. Holmes in the big-budget picture, for which the salary range likely would have been $1 million to $2 million, say these people, compared to the roughly $1 million she earned for "Batman Begins." READ HERE FOR FULL STORY ABOUT HOLMES! Yup I feel like that! This kinda rules. I thought she was the worst part of Batman Begins.

Yup...Pretty freakish...
Just caught this "gem" on Idolator (which you SHOULD be reading instead of my crapping postings...jk....JK!....no no Please COME BACK! PLEASE! I'M SORRY!). Sorry to be so one-sided. I guess my "theme" for this last week should've been "Things that make me vomit a little in my mouth", because this clip totally gives me the burps...

Free Geek Squad I Am NOT!
Heh-heh, went a little Yoda on the subject line there...geeky... It seems everytime a client finds out I'm pretty decent at "tech stuff" I start getting hit up for advice. That then gets turned into asking for help with just a little issues, and eventually full blown tech support...for free. Because, well, obviously since I'm into it, I MUST want to help them with their issues. Quite a few get a little pissy when I inform them that this is something I charge for. It would be like me going up to one of them and saying "Hey you're pretty good at this pretending/acting stuff. I wrote this play in high school, and I'm putting it up at a community theater, and I just figured you'd be in it... no no.... for free..."

even MORE unsettling!
I posted almost exactly the same thing when the Gap was making a deceased Audrey Hepburn dance for skinny pants.
This is the scariest Zombie Movie EVER MADE!
Take THAT 28 Days Later!
But seriously, if you have any humanity or decency, how can one watch that without vomiting in their mouths just a little bit.
It is kinda funny that zombie Orville uses a Creative Zen mp3 player, and not an iPod.
Heh-heh, wont those stupid zombies ever learn...
