Some Audio Guy reads you a story, A SILLY story...

Last month I had the opportunity to crash a studio for a couple days, and just for kicks, recorded a bunch of silly stuff.
I might get more of it up, but I was sick as a dog, so my voice kept jumping back and forth from "cool guy gritty" to "just hacked phlegm can't breathe".

Anywho, that nastiness aside, here's "The Emperor's New Clothes" by Hans Christian Andersen:

You can also Download it by clicking on the title in the player.

Enjoy!

Great Vintage Christmas Recordings with Lapsed Copyrights!

Tis the season, and Wired's Listening Post has you covered!
They've got links to holiday music that has lapsed and fallen into public domain. Most of it is pretty old (one song going back to 1904!), but if you're looking to fill out your holiday play list, this stuff is classic!

CHECK THEM OUT HERE!

And just for kicks, heres Eddie Cantor's "The Only Thing I Want for Christmas (Is Just to Keep the Things I Got)":

Voice Actors: GET IN SHAPE!

We've just started auditioning actors on audio books, and I had forgotten how much work is actually involved with an audio book.

If you have any interest in working in narration, or you just need something fun to keep yourself in shape, check out the folks at Librivox.org.

It's an all volunteer (read: NO PAY) site that narrates books in the public domain, and then releases the recordings back into the public domain.

I've done a little work with them, and while they might not always be the tops on technical, they're a fun and passionate group of people.
