Improve Your Voice Over Auditions By Answering One Simple Question...

Ok folks, time for a little performance discussion.

I know, reviewing mics and interfaces is sexier, but we should probably talk about what you're trying to record with those awesome pieces of gear. Might be a tad more important than the hardware itself if you know what I mean. Anywho, I find many people have a lot of difficulty starting out in commercial VO because of one tricky little question...

  1. Juan Carlos,

Thank you for taking the time to explain why I should not take the time to ask WHY? I appreciate your perfectly straightforward explanation of why we should ask WHY? I will be using this tip now in all of my auditions!!

  2. Great stuff, man. Thank you.

  3. Thanks Juan - and my fav single line is something like " they write non-announcer but they DO want an announcer who just doesn't sound like one!".
    Yep. Exactly.

This is what is called Voice Acting. Thanks dude! Luv ya!

  4. Fantastic post! I was nodding yes yes! on the why would I tell my sister about this product? It all just feels so unnatural when all we want to achieve is natural. Asking "why" gives your words a purpose, when there's seemingly none. Thanks! :)

  5. Sheer brilliance, thanks so much!

  6. Thank you. You are appreciated for your valuable tips. yes we've tried it successfully.
