The Complete Lyrics to "Slaughter Your World"

Bah-jeezus, this thing has taken off!
Blind Ferret's posting of Richard's "Slaughter Your World" has already cleared 400,000 views (in less than 5 days) on youtube, and is pretty much set to clear 500,000 by the end of today.

Dave was nice enough to post the full lyrics to the song on his MySpace blog:

Slaughter The World
Lyrics by Ryan Sohmer

Excitement abounds
I almost can't wait
Relax, I don't want your baby
I already ate

Though I do tend to generally kill
Kill things that don't fight back
I see this village
What does it hold?
What shall I butcher them with
Fire or cold?
Running from me sure you'd think
'He's a pathological bloodthirsty homicidal maniac!'
I'd kill kittens and puppies and bunnies
I'd maim toddlers and teens and then more
You see a wife? I see a widow
But what then?
Can't you see?
I'd kill four!
I want to incinerate and decapitate
I want to melt
Want to melt some faces
Watching the peasants...what do they call it?
Ahh...grieve!
I suppose that being undead there's not much to life
A soul is needed for loving...feeling...
How does this all not make me...what's that word again?
Heave!
You've nowhere to hide
Nowhere to run
Your village will burn like the heart of the sun!
With infinite glee
It's going to be me
That slaughters the world!
How could I glare into these eyes
And then not stab them?
How could I stare at their loss
And then not laugh?
I'd cut him in half
Then I'd graft
His head back onto his shoulders
Or after I'd lop it
I'd make a puppet
On top of a staff!
I am a lord that is sometimes bored
Have some urges and need to fulfill them
After my mayhem I simply don't...what's the word?
Care!
The stench in the air
The smell of the gore
The carnage far greater than any war
My legacy
Death becomes...me!
I'll slaughter the world

Oh and what the heck here's the video one more time:

  1. By far, the best song I've ever heard. Pretty much ever.
Question. The backing track, is that from another song or is it original? If the first, what? If the second, any chance of the score? Pretty please. :-)

Thanks for the Very Hearty Laughter

  2. Hey Jordan,
Well from speaking with Dave, they made a serious effort to play the music as close as possible to the original song from The Little Mermaid. In fact if you play the two side by side they should almost match up.
I'm pretty sure it's just a new arrangement, and in a new key (for Dave's voice).

I can ask though if there is an official score. That's kinda funny...

  4. I thought I'd just leave a comment, since I've been looking for the exact lyrics for some time, and now that I've found them... Hooray!

In addition to thanking you for posting this (OMG THANKS), I'd also like to point out that this would be the first comment on this blog entry in just a few months shy of a year. Sometimes you've got to have a wierded out moment where you see something and just kind of twitch.

'Recent, recent... Wait, what? Oh LORD that's an old entry. Who could be posting on that?'

Thanks again for the lyrics, I'd go mad without them,
    Caz

  8. I've known the lyrics for a great long while, but you did clarify that part where Richard neatly decapitates the man and puts it on a staff. None of my friends knew that he said "lop it". Most of them thought Richard said "Love it." Regardless, we have song this song together many a time, without use of the original track or video, just for our own personal amusement. You can imagine the stares we've received from students and faculty alike...

  9. My pal Dave would be SUPER stoked to hear you say that (he voiced Richard for this)!

  12. Hey, thanks for posting these lyrics! It really clarified some parts that I was confused about. I have a group of about, 10 or so, gamer friends. Every time we have an assembly at school, we just burst out singing this. We love it, in every sense of the word. The sideways glances and outragious looks are the best part!

    Anyway, Thanks again!

  15. I am wanting to use this song as an audition piece. Would the original song's sheet music work or is that in the wrong key?
