HARRY POTTER AUDIO BOOKS!

ZoMG!!1!

Maira Oliveira has the scoop!

The Listening Library has announced that an audiobook of "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, " J.K. Rowling's final book of the series, will be available in July. The audio will contain 784 pages and last a total of 21 hours.

21 hours? TWENTY ONE HOURS! Wow! I'll just read it...

What's surprising to me is there still hasn't been any push to sell these audiobooks as mp3's or through a service like Audible. Just like the Matrix was one of the first big DVD's to really push the format, Harry Potter could really drive digital audio books... and make even more money for JK Rowling!

The audio, which will be available in CD or cassette, features the narration of Grammy-award winner Jim Dale, who will provide the voices for all the characters. In British versions of the book, Stephen Fry has been the narrator.
