Nokia BH-905 Bluetooth Headphones - Unboxing and First Impressions

I recently got in touch with one of the Editors over at WOMWorld/Nokia about writing some reviews for them on some of Nokia's products, and they were kind enough to send the Nokia BH-905's, which are Nokia's premiere Bluetooth headphones. I'm really looking forward to spending the week with them and give you my thoughts.

I received them in the mail today, and Biggelow was quite curious as to what was so carefully bubble wrapped. He got a good schniff in before getting bored and running off to play with the DHL packaging...

I'm obviously not the first person this review pair of headphones has been sent to.

This Nokia box has certainly seen better days...

Upon opening the roughed up packaging, I was instantly struck with how simple and classy the headphone case is. About the size of a frozen lasagna, it's a high quality leather case, with wrist strap and an external accessory pouch. It just looks like you want to pick it up and take it with you.

Ok, this is where things get a little crazy. The accessories go above and beyond, including 3.5mm and quarter inch jack adapters, a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable (if you don't want to use Bluetooth), airline adapter, an adapter for older cell phones that still use a four ring jack, and a cleaning cloth.

The BH-905's are MUCH smaller than I'd imagined them, as pictures of them make them look like cans, the earcups are just a little bigger than my ears are. The cups are pretty thick though as I'm sure there's a lot of tech going on in there. They're just a bit smaller than my favorite closed cup cans, the Sennheiser HD25's.

The headband and all of the joints have smooth but solid action. There's a satisfying heft to the headphones, just enough weight for them to feel premium, but not so heavy as to feel cumbersome. Fit is very comfortable, and provided the battery doesn't get too warm during use, I think I could wear these for long periods of time easily.

And that's about all I can tell you without plugging them in LOL. I've got them charging now, and I'm looking forward to running them through their paces over the next week. Thanks again to WOMWorld/Nokia for sending them my way!
